Independent director
Philippe Dauman (1954) was
appointed to the Lafarge Board of Directors in 2007.
He has served as President
and Chief Executive Officer of Viacom (United-States) since September 2006. From
2000 to 2006, he was Co-Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of
D.N.D. Capital Partners L.L.C., an investment fund specializing in media and
telecommunications.
He was General Counsel and
Secretary of the Board of Viacom from 1993 to 1998, Executive Vice-President
from 1995 to 2000, and Vice-Chairman from 1996 to 2000.
He was previously a partner
in the New York law firm of Shearman & Sterling.
His term of office expires at
the General Meeting approving financial statements for the financial year ended
2010.
He was a director of Lafarge
North America (L.N.A., now Lafarge in North America) from 1997 to 2006. He is currently
director of National Amusements Inc. (United-States), and a member of the
Dean's Council for the University of Columbia Law School (United-States).
Mr. Dauman
holds 1,143 Lafarge shares.
