Dividend

Lafarge aims to share its success with shareholders and actively implements policies that increase the dividend.

How do I receive a dividend?

All shareholders (bearer and registered) receive dividends.

To receive a dividend, you must hold Lafarge shares on the day before the dividend payment is scheduled.

The last dividend payment was made on May 26, 2008, on the basis of 2007 profits (ex-dividend date: May 21, 2008).

Increased dividends: a bonus for loyalty!

Since 1999, shareholders who have held registered Lafarge shares for at least 2 years receive a bonus of 10% on their dividend, as long as the number of shares held does not exceed 0.5% of the total capital. The 2-year holding period runs from January 1 of the year following the year of registration.

Shareholders who had registered their shares on or before December 31, 1996 were the first to benefit from the increased dividend.

2008 dividend: an 33% increase compared to 2007

The shareholders' meeting of May 7, 2008 approved a dividend based on 2007 profits of:

  • 4 euros per share for the standard dividend, an increase of 33% compared to 2006,
  • 4.40 euros per share for the loyalty dividend.
