Stéphanie Tessier has been appointed head of the Group's external communications

Stéphanie Tessier, 32 years old, has been appointed Head of the Group's External Communications. She will report to Philippe Hardouin, Lafarge's Director of Communications.

Stéphanie Tessier will be responsible for preparing and implementing an external communications strategy for the Group with regard to its strategy, finances, innovation and research, environmental and human resources policy. In this role, she will be responsible for media relations and, alongside the Group's Director of Communications, she will be in charge of all the external communications-related aspects of the Group's network of communications managers. She will also supervise relations with communications agencies working for the Group.

This appointment became effective on 15 March 2004.

Stéphanie Tessier was previously associate partner at Brunswick, a financial communications consulting firm, where she advised French and international companies on their communications strategy for financial transactions and investor relations.
