Serbia: Artevia® concrete for the new Beocin city square

In May 2009, Lafarge in Serbia launched a competition aimed at young architects from the region for the refurbishment of a city square in Beocin, whose cement plant was celebrating its 170th anniversary (under the Lafarge name for the last 8 years).

This resulted in the inauguration of Beocin's new city square in June 2010. Fitting in perfectly with the surrounding urban landscape, the square stretches over a total surface area of 2,800m² of Artevia® concrete and 700m² of green spaces.
This gave Lafarge an opportunity to promote its innovative products, while reinforcing its relations with architects and improving the quality of life of local communities.
