Philippe Dauman (1954) was appointed to the Lafarge Board of Directors in 2007.

He has been President and Chief Executive Offi cer of Viacom Inc. (US) since September 2006. He was previously Joint Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of DND Capital Partners LLC (US) from May 2000. Before creating DND Capital Partners, Philippe Dauman was Deputy Chairman of the Board of Viacom from 1996 to May 2000, Executive Vice-President from 1995 to May 2000, and General Counsel and Secretary of the Board from 1993 to 1998. Prior to that, he was a partner in New York law firm Shearman & Sterling. He served as Director of Lafarge North America Inc. from 1997 to 2006.

He is currently a Director of Viacom Inc. and National Amusements Inc. (US), a member of the Dean’s Council for the University of Columbia Law School, a member of the Business Roundtable (US), a member of the Board of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (US) and Co-Chairman of the Partnership for New York (US). He is also a member of The Paley Center for Media’s Board (US), a member of the Board of Kipp Foundation (US), and a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Lenox Hill Hospital (US).

Independent Director, Philippe Dauman in particular brings to the Board his knowledge of the Group, in particular in North America, as well as his experience as an executive offi cer and Director of ternational industrial groups.

Mr. Dauman holds 1,143 Lafarge shares.
